East River Park!

Not living close to Central Park anymore is really hard. I used to go to the park at least 6-7 times a week. I did everything from run to walk to stoll to tann. If I wasn’t walking inside it, I was power walking along the wall around it. I simply think that the park might be the very best thing about this wonderful city.

Now, I’ve found a new place to do almost everything I used to do before; East River Park. It’s a park along the East river in lower Manhattan. Some of it is lined along FDR drive by Houston. By I enter it up by 23rd street.

The actual park itself contains of 4 ballfields, tennis courts, a work out arena, benches overlooking the water as well as paths for us runners/walkers. The one thing that ERP has that Central park doesn’t have is the closeness to the water. Although looking over Brooklyn and Williamsburg (which might not be the most pretty view), it’s quite nice. I’m just happy that I’ve found a new place to run while seeing other people and a little bit of nature.
