The Academy Awards!
I know for sure that I am one of millions of blogers around the world to write about the academy awards today. But I don’t care, it was just that good. I’ve always thought of the Oscars as an uptight and fancy occation, and it still was, it’s just that this year everybody seemed at little more relaxed. If felt like there were more room for improvs, comedy, and show numbers by the incredible Hugh Jackman. Man, can that guy dance. I was really impresed.
I’m not going to go on and on about the amazingly beautiful gowns or who won the awards, because that is actually something that everyone will read on their own anyway, but I will focus on the fact that I really had a good time watching the gala. As I said, it felt relaxed, it was funnier than ever, and there were some great speaches. And I agreed with almost all the winners, especially Sean Penn as Harvey Milk in the movie Milk. And Slumdog Millionaire wiped out the awards completely, but that was just fun because they all seemed truly happy.
I’l probably spend the entire day looking at pics and clips even though we saw the whole thing. Let me tell you, it was just that good. And I was in good company with good friends and good food, so the entire evening was the best in a long time. Looking forward to next year!
