Fashion Week!

I’m dying over here. Fashion Week is in full speed and I’m not in it. Not even a little bit. That is, and has been my dream since I can remember, and I keep telling myself that one day it will happen. I just wish that day could be now. Oh well, one should never say never and I’ll stay positive until it happens!

Luckily, for us who doesn’t get to enjoy the shows from front row, we can always turn to Style.com, the official website for Vouge magazine. The have pics from all the shows so you won’t miss anything. These days, that website is my home.

Shows I like so far is Acne (being Swedish and all). They have some very cool, fairly simple looks that I really like. Dark colors, silvery shoes, and leather skirts. A really nice collection. Another great collection this year comes from Betsey Johnson who always make colorful, one of a kind collections. This year was no different. I really liked the colored leggings, the full bodied skirts, and the hard makeup. She really knows how to put on a show, even just by looking at the clothes.

I have three other brands that I want to mention; Jill Stuart, Marc Jacobs, and William Rast. Jill Stuart has always been a favorite. Her low key, peeled off style always had my attention. This collection was a bit different. It was inspired by women in rock music and, therefore, was a little bit out of her comfort zone. Don’t wory, she so pulled it off! I simply loved her collection. William Rast is Justin Timberlakes brand and is kind of like a street brand for both girls and boys. This collection was a bit disappointing is the sense that everything pretty much looked the same. Boring is what I would call it! Marc Jacobs I always love. I mean, what is there not to love. I my book, he can’t do anything wrong! Love love love!

The ones that I have mentioned are the latest shows from Fashion Week. Some of the other ones I like are Diane von Furstenburg, Tracy Reese, Carolina Herrera, and Luca Luca. Go in to Style.com yourselves and have a look. You might find things I haven’t!
