Oh boy, am I glad I moved to this neighborhood. It’s lively, hip, happening, and fun. Going out yesterday, me and my darling didn’t feel like going down to Meatpacking Distric to go clubbing. We just wanted to go out, have a couple of cocktails without any fuzz. And that we got, big time!

There are a lot of small (and some not so small), fun bars around here that I had no idea existed. We, of course, did some research before going out to know where we would go. As far as I knew at that point, this area was just filled with sportsbars and restaurants, but was I wrong. Besides the obvious places like Gramercy Park Hotel, PrimeHouse, and W at union Square, there are a lot of cool spots. We ended up at the bar/club downstaris in Hotel Giraff. A totally new place too me but I really like it. The only bad thing was that none of the girls there new how to dress but I guess that only made us look even better and stand out even more (like we really needed that help).

Another place where we made a pit stop was Vig 27. A mellow, lowkey place with pretty good music and a bit loder clientel. Really good Berry Cosmos and fun guys trying to pick you up, buying you drinks just to help themselves. That didn’t work so well for them but at least we got a couple of free drinks and that’s not so bad, right?
