Pride & Glory!

I love movies but am not one of those crazy-have-to-have-every-movie-ever-made- kind of person. I’m fine with just enjoying them, haveing the ones I really like and be good with that. Now, I won’t lie because I would love to have more movies that I do but I actually don’t now exactly how to download and set it up, so until my night in shining armor comes along to help me, I’m okay where I’m at.

What I do like and should treat myself to more is the movies, cinemas. There is obviously something special about seing a movie on that big screen with the loud noise, eating popcorn, and complaining about the tall guy sitting infront of you. It really is something else and I try to go see a movie as often as I can, which, lately, haven’t been were often. Yesterday I did go and went to my favorite cinema on Manhattan, The Regal on Times Square. There is just something special about going to a movie on TS.

We saw ‘Pride and Glory’, a story about a multi-genrational police family in New York City. The family’s moral codes are tested when one of the brothers investigates a case and finds a police corruption scandal involving his brother-in-law. Not only is the entire police force’s rumor at stake, but what will happen to the family?

The trailer said Drama/Family but they could have just left out the ‘family part’. It was a lot more violent than I thought it would be but it was all vey nicely done and looked incredibly real. There are some scary scenes involving children och blood, but other than that, it was great. The cast is kind of why we chose this movie to begin with. My favorite actor of all times is Edward Norton who plays one of the brothers. This role is great and he is amazing. The brother-in-law is played by the very hot Colin Farrel while the dad is played by Jon Voight. The movie also features Noah Emmerich and Jennifer Ehle.
