No news…

This day is a no-news-day. Nothing exciting has happened and my mind feels kind of blank. I think I’m just waiting for tomorrow. Election Day. Probably the biggest, most important, most followed election in the history of this country, and I’m sp happy that I get to be apart of it, or atleast experience it right here on the spot.

Among my friends, my nickname has been the ´crazy voter´ since this whole election process began. Nope, I can’t vote as I’m not a citizen (which is more frustrating than you can imagine) but I’m very involved and very oppinionated so I’m the crazy voter pushing everybody I know to go out tomorrow and vote. Not voting is a slap in the face of democray. Not that this country is a democracy, but that is another discussion.

To me, people need to go out and vote, no matter who they vote for. Of course I would die before wanting McCain + Palin for president, but I stand by my words. Go out and vote! And I hope people see how important it is. I know people in this city knows, as we all really want a change bad. But it still amazes me that some people, especially kids, don’t even register. That’s just something I don’t understand and probably never will.

Where I come from, even if you don’t like any of the parties och candidates available for certain positions, you can alway go and vote. There is something called blank-voting. That means you turn in your voting documents empty. Nothing is filled out! This shows that you are more than willing to make a difference, and that you want to vote. There just aren’t any options good enough for your vote. Don’t know if that’s an option in this country, but I think it should be something to consider. Not all people are either a Democrat or a Republican….
