Go back in time!
In New York, there are countless thins for you to see and experience. Every new thing that is being introduced to this world makes their first pit stop in New York. We get the first try, and if we like it and approve, so will the rest of the country. That’s what I love about this place and what makes it so unique as a city.
There are things, however, that go against the trend of revealing the new and unexperienced. There are those who see a beauty in the past, in what has been, in what is no longer current. One of those places is the veneu of Clearview Chelsea, a cinema theater inthe heart of Chelsea. On October 23, they are hosting two screenings of “The Witches of Eastwick”, a novel by John Updike about three lonely women from New England who find their sexual selves when a devilish stranger rolls into town. It was made in 1987 with Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfifer as the leading ladies and Jack Nicholson as the man.
The Clearview’s price is a mere $7.50 which, in my book, is a great price. Other screening dates are Oct 28, and the same dates at Cielo, a nightclub in Meatpacking District.
Clearview: 260 West 23rd Street
Cielo: 18 Little West 12th Street

…speaking of firsts…did you know New York was first in introducing a class in ..get this…how to wear the new sky-high shoes, and it’s called”High Heel Fitness Class & High Hell Walking Workshop”
I am not kidding. Apparently one totally needs to learn to walk again, this time in heels, and so while wearing this kind of foot gear.More hips, move your knees more, learn to tighten your core more, learn how to hold up your chest.
Lots of problems have been linked to wearing this kind of foor wear, including an illness named by a Swedish scientist, called the bump hump on your achilles tendon, and the same studyalso associates heels with schizoprenia.
yet this season woman are heading off to work in heels 6 inches or in centimeters 15 cm.Why?
Anyway, the class is now discontinued, and moved on to San Francisco, L.A. , and Chicago…but but NY was first, back in 2006!
I’ll show you and Liza with a Z the article over Christmas.
..oh onne more thing, the Witches movie was actually filmed partially right here in Mass., in Ipswich, and in cohasset.
