Drink your troubles away!

I’m not at all a heavy drinker, despite what the title might say. I tend to do things in moderation except for when it comes to shopping. As a small girl, I really don’t need a lot of alcohol to get drunk or to even feel the effects of it. Somedays only 2 glasses of wine will get me going. But that, of course, depends on various factors such as what I’ve eaten that day, if I have water in between, or if it’s hot outside. As a trained, professional bartender, I’m use to always be in control in a nightclub, I’m use to dealing with a lot of people at once, especiallt drunk people, and I’m use to caring about what and how much other people drick. When I’m working, I don’t drink at all. We’re not to do that and I think that’s a good thing. How would it look if a drunk bartender couldn’t keep track of what he/she is serving and then over-serve a customer? A big no-no!
With this lecture about drinking and being a smart drinker I would like to give you some tips on how to make great drinks for this weekends parties. Here are some of my right now favorites:
Bitter Sweet Sour
4 cl of white, regular rum
3 cl of sugar mix (mix sugar with an equal amount of hot water and melt the sugar)
4 cl of lime juice
shake it up and serve with ice
Blueberry Sour
6 blueberries
champagne
15 ml vodka or lemon vodka
1 tablespoon of lemon sorbet
serve in a champagne glass
Apple Martini
4 cl Vodka
3 cl apple schnapps
5 ml sugar mix
1 cup ice
serve in a martini glass and garnish with a sliver of green apple
Ultimate chocolate dream
3 cl vanilla vodka
1,5 cl chocolate liqueur
1.5 cl white chocolate liqueur
1 cl Bailey’s
splash of half&half cream
chocolate syrup on the inside of the glass
These drinks are just my recepies but don’t be afraid to mix it up yourself. Remember that nothing you do is wrong and just have fun with it. Try new things! I hope you’ll like my drinks as much as me, but be careful and be a smart drinker! In a while, I’ll get tired of these drinks and find new ones and I’ll be sure to tell you when I do!
Have a great weekend!
