Away getting!

Sitting in school on a Saturday morning. Why, you might wonder. I’m studying, writing a Macroeconomics researchpaper, and trying to get my head together for next week. Let me tell you, this qarter is no bed of roses. It’s going to take a lot more work and a lot more energy as I have intricate, more advanced classes. This suits me just fine as I’ve been complaining on my classes being to easy and me not being challenge. That is so not the case for this semester.

Not only am I sitting in school on a Saturday (which is so pathetic on its own), it’s also raining. It’s starting to poor down and, since I don’t own an umbrella, I’m pretty much stuck inside. Not that I can leave yet anyway. This morning I got a strong desire to travel. I do always want to travel and am not one to say no to a trip of any kind, but this morning was different. It was strong, so I started looking at my options when I found this bad boy. What would you say if I said that one single week of vacationing could cost you a mere $21,000? Would you be interested?

This is the new, luxurious cruise ship ‘Oasis of the Seas’, by far the biggerst cruise ship in the world. This is being put in the water in the beginning of next year and is almost 40% bigger than the biggest ships right now, ‘Liberty of the Seas’ and ‘Freedom of the Seas’. The Oasis is pretty much done and the final touches are being made at a boatyard in Finland. She is a staggering 360 meters long, 16 deck high, and will have over 2,700 cabins of which 28 of them are suits with their own balconys being located 16 decks above sealevel.

The boat has its own version of New Yorks Central Park that is approximately 100 meters long and 19 meters wide. They also have swimmingpools hanging 40 meters outfrom the actual boat. Not for the scared swimmer I would think. The boat also carries the largest on-water casino and have a theatre with 1,380 seats.

A weeks cruise with the Oasis in the Caribbean with 4 people in the ‘Royal Loft Suit’ will cost you $21,000. A bargain if you ask me.
