Madison Square Park
One thing that you do a lot of in this city, whether you like it or not, is walk. The distances are longer than you might think and you don’t always feel like enjoying the wonderful pubilc transportation system (don’t even get me started on taking a taxi). So what do I do? I walk. I try to walk as much as I can each and everyday. Well maybe not everyday, somedays I visit the gym and those days I try to be nice to myself and get myself out of walking everywhere. Be nice to your body and listen to it when it tells you that it’s tired.
So today, eventhough I went to the gym this morning, I felt like walking down to Union Square after my morning class. The wether was nice and I had nothing else planned so I had the time, so I thought I might as well walk. Why not!?
On my way over there I went throught Madison Square Park, which is a lovel park by the way, and I noticed that there we a lot of construcion workers around the park. Getting further and further in to the park I realized that they were bulding treehouses in some of the trees. The all looked something like this:
I’m sure you understand that the setting wasn’t quite as relaxing and idyllic as this one but you get the picture. Now, I have no idea why they were building treehouses that no one could ever reach, especially not children, and why they are doing it in the middle of the city. It must be a part of some kind of commersial stunt or some other kind of city propaganda. Don’t get me wrong, it looked nice, I just do understand. Hopefully, bu the time they’re ready, they will put of posters explaining why they are there.
Aren’t treehouses nice by the way? I could really see myself living in a tree, or at least use it as my summer house. I can imagine the feeling about a treehouse being kind of the same feeling as with a houseboat. It might be fun in the beginning, you’re definately one of a kind and original, but I’m not sure how long it would work. I’m not even sure a treehouse is safe. Anyway, as much as they look cute, maybe we should just leave the treehouse industry to the children…
…sign me up for the little red tree house at the bottom of your blog…I could happily live there for the rest of my life…read a book once about a boy in italy who got mad at his famiily, and climbed out his window into a tree outside it, and he never came downn again, ever…lived to be an old man, and just kept travelliing around italy from tree to tree, wish I could remember the title, but it was quite increible…
…andyway, now I am going to back track, to your Minnetonka boots you showed…went on the computer and looked for them, and found them of course, only i never saqw any long 3 fringe ones in black, but I am sure you can contact them and ask..so go looking, not expensive either, compared the the before mentioned bag…onnly $89.99 as I recall…they actually had masses of boots, many of which I would love to have, but alas I do not need new ones..so buhuu…

wow, please try to remember the name, would love to check that out. Sounds like nothing I’ve ever read about. How old was this boy when he first climbed out his window?
Ohh that’s too bad, but I’ll keep looking. But I know the price is reasonable and the boots are so cute. Found a store nearby so I’ll go past that place later today, so keep your fingers crossed!
Where did you find these boots? a website?
I, for once, actuallly need these ones. Most of the imes it’s always me wanting something but not needign it. This time it’s different and then I can’t find the ones I want. Great!!!
