Consuming less, eating more!

Published by josephine2222 at 4:45 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

When doing research for my previous blog post I found this really cool blog about not eating out and how you can consume less while eating more. To me, that sounded great so I started reading. As soon as I realized that this was a cooking blog, I shut down. But then I decided to “stick it out” and actually read what she had written, and boy was I surprised. Funny, inspiring, yummy recipies that I wanted to cook. Correction, that I wanted to eat, but I wasn’t repelled by the thought of having to cook in order for me to get to the finishing meal. Invissible step for mankind, a huge step for me!

What inspired me to keep reading and actually ckech out some of the dishes was the way she presented herself and her standpoint. She gives you reason after reason to why you shouldn’t eat out, and then she’s so bold to actually tell you why not to eat out especially in New York. New York of all places. Crazy, huh? But reading her explanation to why this is, I slowly started to see where she’s coming from. She mentions things like knowing exactly what you get when you cook and the money saver `the lunch-box`. When I’m finally settled in in my new apartment (which is monday btw) I’ll start with going to a big grocery store, do some serious shopping and then, believe it or not, start cooking more often. I will definately not say everyday as that’s so not realistic. But I will say that you’re going to get more cooking post on this blog in the future.

Going back to this food blog, and another great thing she does is that she tells you on a scale btw 1 brownie and 10 brownies (1 being the healthiest) just how healthy the meal is. This way you can easilly follow a diet or simply watch what you eat. She also shows you how you can calculate your food costs which can lead to many lightbulb moments.

..oh man, I am one of those that always get hooked on stuff like this, and clip recepies from journals like crazy…to never actually cooking anything…same with all these cooking shows on TV, one can easily see why people get so hooked on them, as it looks so so so effortless and easy and fun and jummy…and oh boy…just all those exclamations make me tired…and ready to just hop down the street to order a nice something or other…oh bother…but of courae I will have to check out this new blog you say is so good…hm…and let’s see how long you actually stick to your new program once you move into your own digs…hey, maybe P is an exellent cook…ah, but only as long as he is a clean and well organised cook…meaninng leaving the kitchen pristine..not his own personal hygiene here..hi hi…although that too is important of course…
    and now off to work…

Oh God, I sure hope he is… wouldn’t it be horrible otherwise? Don’t even want to think about it. But I’ll organize us cooking together because I actually see me doing this. I will stick it “out” and start cooking more. As I said though, not everyday. That’s so not realistic, but more than I cook now!!!

I myself have never seen the great thing about cooking shows as I don’t like to cook but I guess I have to make some cooking shows a weekly appointment now (to go with my new persona)
