A done deal! *I think*
Did I mention my new apartment? I think I did. I know I wrote about the Gramercy apartment I was about to get. Well it just so happens that I got it! I now have my own apartment! or maybe not my own, I have it with my new roommate, a friend that I went to high school with from Sweden. We are now the official tenants of the 2 bedroom apartment on 26th street and 3rd Avenue, a prime Gramercy location. Are you not happy for me? Don’t you just love it when thing are going so well for other people? I usually don’t. I’m usually very bitter and grumpy, but now I don’t care. I got my own apartment! Beat that!
We still haven’t got the keys but we signed all the papers and contracts yesterday so I feel rather sure about the apartment being ours. I know I’m not suppose to be entirely relaxed until we get the keys but it sure feels like a done deal! It’s signed and delivered, so allt we really need now is to get the keys. A small yet crusial detail. I can’t wait til sept 15th when I step in to what is then my place, my crib! I will overload you with pictures and coloring samples, and decorating tips and interior design stuff…. sound lovely???
Should we go with Scandinavian simplicity, rich, colorful Mediterranian style, or maybe old, rustic southern comfort??? Any suggestions are gladely accepted! I know there’s stilla lot to fix and take care of until we actually get to the decoration-stage but here are some beautiful pictures to be inspired by in the meen time…

….just mix and match loppfynd and Ikea, and maybe some bits and pieces from some of those really cool second hand and Antique stores NY is so full of…but no matter what you do..it will be your very own style that shines trough in the end…hm..now where does that leave your room mate and his taste…oh oh…
…and now on the your question about the fashion shows which are going on all around you…just take your laptop, your new i-phone, and dress like a most successful mode secretary, and run up to the door on any chosen show, and start dropping names like mad, of your “boss” who is inside waiting for you to show up with some very important stuff…and yes, you must pick a name that actually somebody inside has, as they might just call him or her…and then it is all up to you and how good you are at bull shitting your way in…so go for it girl…I’ll be waiting for an absolutely fab report…
I think you might be right. A mix and match is not such a bad idea, that’s what I do with clothes anyway… some old, some new, some me, some borrowed… that’s a great idea. So happy that my mom is coming to help us decorate. I have a feeling that my roommate is goingt o have very little say in this.. hope he doesn’t mind
I’ve actually thought about doing something like that. If I feel that there’s a show a want to see that bad, I’ll actually plan something like this. You gave me some new ideas though that I haven’t thought about before so that’s great, thanks!
