As Fashion Week in my wonderful Bryant Park is coming up I’d like to tell you about a new favourite designer of mine: Rebecca Minkoff. She designs handbags but not just any handbags, the most beautiful ones on the market right now. Rebecca is San Diego born but now lives in New York. She’s been designing and sewing handbags since she was 8 and she became a real clothesmaker at the young age of 18. The signature handbag of Rebecca Minkoff is the `Morning After` bag which was brought to everybodys’ eyes in 2001 by Rebeccas good friend Jenna Elfman who asked her to design a new bag for her next movie. From that moment on she’s been considered one of the top handbag designers out there, I totally agree. She actually started designing fashion for women but it was the `Morning After` handbag that took her to the top.

I’m not the only one who likes her bags. Her collections have been seen in the arms of Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Agyness Deyn, Leighton Mester, Rachel Bilson,  Hillary Duff, BijouPhilips, Nicole Richi, and many more. In 2008 alone, Minkoff have put out 3 collections which can be found in stores like Searle, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Neiman marcus, and Henri Bendel.
