Academy Awards!
Since the new Batman movie came out, it seems like Heath Ledger is the only thing people are talking about. I haven’t seen the movie but I’ve heard not so great reviwes about it. The only good thing about it is Heath Ledger. My friend told me that he is brilliant and that he would be very suprised if HL didn’t get the Academy Award this upcoming January.
I know where HL used to live, where his old apartment is since it’s in the neighbourhood where I do a lot of my shopping. It’s down in Soho, on 421 Broome Street. A great location by the way.I haven’t been down by the apartment since he died, but I went there today and there are still a lot of flowers, memorycards and tributes. I don’t know if it’s because of the new Batman movie or not but I hope we don’t forget him yet. He was an amazing actor who obviously was very troubled, but I think his death got us all thinking about the seriousness of prescription drugs, and how dangerous they can be if used inaproppriately with other drugs. It’s sad something like that has to happen for us to open our eyes, but I guess that’s life, right?
Anyway, just wanted to say that the frontdoor scene was still very emotional and nice. I encourage everuone to see Batman w HL as the Joker. I think we appreciate his performance even more when we knoe he’s dead.
